SOFITEL LUANG PRABANG, Luang Prabang – A Smart Stay in the City

Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms, designed with the charm of a French colonial governor's mansion, were spacious, featuring a lovely private terrace and an exterior bath. The proximity to the night market and restaurants added to the convenience. However, the price could be seen as slightly on the higher side considering the value.

The dining experience, from the excellent Chef John, was fantastic, though the bread selection was a bit disappointing.

The hotel rooms are very large, very comfortable, and in a good location. Just be aware that there were several children who tend to take over the main swimming pool at night, so plan accordingly, especially during high season from Nov-Mar. Booking early is recommended to avoid disappointment.
